Day 3 Qabala

QABALA

We left for Qabala a bit early as travel time is almost 3 hrs from Baku.

After 3 hrs , we  reached our 1st spot which is a waterfall.Here similar to Gobustan,  we took another taxi to go to the waterfall from the parking lot as the roads are not that great to take our Mercedes.

The cost of the taxi is 40 AZN  for both ways.The driver waited for half hour till we returned back after seeing the waterfalls(shalala in Azerbaijani) .The waterfalls from the parking centre is around 3 kms.

The waterfalls is quite beautiful.Also we can hike further up the hill and watch another view of the waterfalls from the top. Don't miss buying figs and strawberries here outside the waterfalls. They just taste awesome and juicy. 

Then our second spot is  the Nohur lake.This is a very vast lake  and  has a beautiful  garden to relax.
Also peddling boats are available for hire.
There are food shops and souvenir shops  in the garden.

Our next stop was  for the cable car at Tufandagh mountain. 
We took tickets for cable car 10  AZN per person both ways.
This included  cable car to the first stop, from there to second stop in another cable car line and the return back .
The views from the cable car were so breathtaking . We took photos at the 2 stations  .

We had lunch at Raja restaurant  in the same road as the cable car station.

Then we started our journey back to Baku which was almost 3+ hrs.
Our guide took us to a shop for buying Original Azerbaijani Honey ( called Bahl in Azerbaijani) to a shop. This  shop was close to  Aksent hotel, where we stayed  and all the shops in the street were dry fruits shops.

Then we returned to hotel .We took a walk around to buy water bottles  .
We had planned to  do  Baku sightseeing the next day .
