Day 3: Vienna
After breakfast we checked and travelled to Vienna in Austria.
Poland Facts:
Poland was formed in 960.Kingdom of Poland was formed in 1025.
Poland was initially part of Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth.
After World War II, Auschwitz flourished.
Poland Portioned into 4 parts: Russia (Prussia), 1 part taken by Austria, 1 part taken by Slovenia.
It is the fifth largest country in Europe.
It is the 4th largest GDP Contributor to European Union.
Krakow has Old City even today. But Warsaw was completely demolished in war.
Auswism is spoken here in Auswitz, so people are called Auswism.
Many People ruled Poland over the years: Bohemian, Romans, Mongolians.
Many places are connected to Auswitz , so Jews came here, from different places.
Auswitz is between Vistula and Sola Rivers.
Throughout our journey, we were able to see River Olza.
We had lunch and few coffee breaks.
After entering Austria, we saw around 100+ windmills on the way.
We passed through Mikulov town, it had a castle, many tunnels.
In Vienna, we visited St.Stephen Cathedral, Opera House, Old Town, City Square, Castle, Royal Palace.
The church was huge with many paintings.
It was a shopping area, and it was a good walk walking around the streets, seeing all the attractions. The statues, clock tower was very beautiful.
We then visited the Schoenbrunn Palace. We got to see the Palace at night. It was very big and lit up beautifully. It is a Summer Palace with 1400 rooms.
Then we were taken to Go India Indian Restaurant at Lugner city,Wien , Austria in Stadthalle mall.
We checked into Hotel Am Sachsengang in Enzersdorf, Austria.
