10 DAY EUROPE TRIP : Cologne, Belgium-Brussels, Paris

Day 7 :

 

We checked out from hotel after breakfast.

 

Travel to Sankt Goar via Biengen onto cruise on Rhine River.

After the cruise we went to Cologne Cathedral.

We visited the cathedral and took many pictures and also roamed around and had lunch at a Turkish Restaurant.

 

Later we left to Belgium-Brussels via Netherlands-Amsterdam.

 

We had dinner at Indian Restaurant and checked in at Holiday Inn express.

 

Day 8

 

After Breakfast, we checked out from hotel.

 

We visited the Atomium-Mini Europe.

In mini Europe , there are miniature models of all the important landmarks of Europe in a open air Museum.

 

Later we reached the Grand Market.

We were given free time here as there are many places to visit.

• 13th Century Town Hall
• Saint Nicholas Church
• Manneken Pis: It is a landmark 61 cm bronze sculpture in the centre of Brussels, depicting a naked little boy urinating into a fountain's basin. It was designed by Hiëronymus Duquesnoy the Elder and put in place in 1618 or 1619. The current statue is a replica which dates from 1965.

 

We had world famous Belgium Waffles for  lunch .

 

Then we left for Paris.We had dinner at Kamala Inde.

Then checked in  at Novotel Paris.

 

Day 9

We had breakfast and left for Fragonard Perfume shop for Demonstration.

They explained how the perfumes are made and the perfumes were on sale too.

We did buy a small gift pack for the family.

 

Then we left to Eiffel tower.The top of the Tower is 327 m.

Gustav Eiffel is the designer of the Eiffel tower.

The name of the many French scientists carved on level 1.

The view from the top of another wonder of the world is  truly mesmerizing.

 

Later we were given a guided city tour of the many landmarks of the city.

• Napolean Bonaparte's Cemetery
• Arc De Triumph

 

We had lunch at Indian Restaurant -SAFRAN.

 

We continued the guided city tour after a small break near the restaurant.

 

Then we were given time for shopping. We had haggendaz icecream and returned back to hotel.

We had opted for  special tour this evening along with few of our fellow travelers.

 

So we refreshed and went for dinner at Jyoti Restaurant. Gala evening  was  a dance show  of the famous Paris artists. After the dance show we went to watch the Eiffel tower Illumination show  at night.

It was a tiring day, but I found some energy to watch the Eiffel tower illuminated so beautifully.

It was a 10 minute Light show act .

Back to Hotel and Pack up.

 

Day 10

 

After breakfast checked  out from hotel.

We left for Charles De Gaule Airport in taxi.

 

We reached Chennai back via Abu Dhabi.
